Dublin's Queen of Cafés

Entering the tiny shop, you would be forgiven for thinking you had stumbled upon a quaint country caff, in a sleepy English village. Rows of wicker baskets are filled with vegetables and tiers of delectable looking cakes, pastries and breads sit atop a wooden counter.

The Queen of Tarts [ ... ] is a labour of love, with firm emphasis on quality produce and home-cooked fare.

Welcome to Queen of Tarts

In the heart of Dublin City treat yourself to some home cooked food in our tiny café. Enjoy cakes, tarts, bread-and-butter pudding and every other sweet treatyou can think of. With only six tables if can be hard to get a seat but if you do, you can order cakes like your grandmother used to make.

Queen of Tarts is across the road from City Hall and a perfect place to rest on your way to or from the trendy Old City shopping area beyond Temple Bar. Everything is prepared and cooked on the premises. Together with our friendly staff, we're sure you'll agree Queen of Tarts is not your average café.

Enjoy your visit!

Behind Yvonne and Regina Fallon's quaint traditional shopfront near Dublin Castle lies an equally quaint traditional tea room with wonderful smells wafting across the room as they struggle to make space for new arrivals.

Our Valued Customers:

"We sat at small, cozy tables and ordered a plum tart and a lemon tart with tea. The service was excellent, and the tarts were to die for!"
